lending a helping hand
Where would the world be without volunteers? They are the ones who lend a hand and heart to others - sometimes in the small, unseen ways that simply make the world a more caring place.
At Rome Memorial Hospital, volunteers are an integral part of caring for our patients, their families, and the hospital staff. In virtually every hospital department - from the emergency room to the business office to our skilled nursing facility - volunteers pick up tasks that help the hospital run smoothly. They are the ones that enable the hospital to offer patients and families that "something extra" to let them know how much we care about their health and well being.
There are many opportunities to help in one of the many hospital departments. In addition, the Rome TWIGS Organization is always looking for new members to help raise money to help purchase new equipment for the hospital.
Volunteers are of all ages, from all walks of life. A volunteer might be an adult or a senior that has much to offer others because of their many life experiences. A volunteer might be a student who is considering a future in healthcare and wants experience in the field before becoming heavily immersed in the education required.
If you have a passion to help others - if you have talents, skills and gifts that are just waiting to be used - you may be the person we are looking for. |
