Basil J. Ariglio, President/Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ariglio joined Rome Memorial Hospital in 1992 as its Chief Financial Officer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from LeMoyne College and his master of science degree in healthcare management and policy from New School University. He was promoted from Vice President Finance/Support Services to Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer in 2003, to Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer in 2005, and to President/Chief Executive Officer in 2011.
Durinda K. Durr, R.N., M.S., Vice President/Clinical Services
Mrs. Durr received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Syracuse University and her master’s degree in nursing administration from SUNY IT. She joined Rome Memorial Hospital as its Chief Nursing Officer in 2003 bringing with her more than 20 years of nursing leadership experience. She was promoted to Vice President/Clinical Services in 2013.
Nicholas Mayhew, Vice President/Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Mayhew received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Utica College and graduated from the New School University with a master of science degree in healthcare management and policy. He joined the hospital’s staff in 1993 as Controller. He was promoted from Director of Finance to Assistant Vice President Finance/Support Services in 2001 and to Vice President/Chief Financial Officer in 2005.
Bruce Peterson, Vice President/Chief Information Officer
Mr. Peterson earned his bachelor's degree in management and marketing from Clarkson University, Potsdam. He joined the hospital in 2008 as Chief Information Officer, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in information technology. He was named Vice President/Chief Information Officer in 2012.
Mark Snyderman, Vice President of Outpatient Services/Planning
Mr. Snyderman is registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and earned his certificate in radiologic technology from the Air Force School of Health Care Sciences, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He majored in radiologic science at Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, Texas, and earned a bachelor's degree in health administration from Kennedy Western University. He joined the hospital in 1981 as Manager of the Radiology Department. He was promoted from Director of Outpatient Services to Assistant Vice President of Outpatient Services/Planning in 1998 and to Vice President in 2007.
Cassie Evans Winter, Vice President Communications/Marketing
Mrs. Winter received her bachelor's degree in sociology from Texas A & M University, College Station, Texas. A former reporter, she joined the hospital’s staff in 1998 as the public relations manager. She was promoted to public relations director in 2002 and named Assistant Vice President Communications/Marketing in 2006. In 2012, she was promoted to Vice President Communications/Marketing.
Teresa Bell, R.N., Assistant Vice President Nursing
A graduate of the Marcy Psychiatric Hospital School of Nursing, Ms. Bell earned her bachelor of science degree in health care administration from Kennedy-Western University. She started her career at Rome Memorial Hospital in 1975 as a medical/surgical staff nurse. Moving up through the nursing ranks, she was promoted to director of Director Medical/Surgical/Pediatric Nursing Services in 1994 and assumed additional responsibility for Maternity Services in 2001. In 2009, she was promoted to assistant vice president of nursing.
Regina Chambers, Vice President Human Resources
Mrs. Chambers earned her bachelor’s of art degree in healthcare administration from Marshall University, Huntington, W.Va. She joined the hospital’s staff in 1995 and was promoted from Director of Personnel to Assistant Vice President of Human Resources in 2007 and named Vice President in 2013.
Gregory A. Mattacola, Vice President/Hospital Counsel
Mr. Mattacola graduated cum laude from St. Bonaventure University and SUNY Buffalo School of Law. He joined the hospital in 2010 and provides counsel on all day to day legal issues including but not limited to vendor contracts, physician contracts, employment law matters, liability and Stark/Anti-Kickback issues in addition to coordinating the utilization of outside counsel.
