Rome Surgical Specialists offer a broad range of surgical procedures including:

General Surgery: Including surgery for skin and colon cancers, gallbladder and thyroid disease, appendicitis and hernia repair.

Thoracic Surgery: Including surgery for lung and esophageal cancer, pacemaker placement, management of pneumothorax, hyperhidrosis, and mediastinal tumors.

Breast Surgery: Diagnosis and treatment of breast disease, such as biopsy, cyst aspiration, lumpectomy, mastectomy, and sentinel lymph node biopsy.

Carotid Endarterectomy: A surgical procedure to remove fatty deposits blocking the carotid arteries, the main supply of blood for the brain.

With three surgeons available, Rome Surgical Specialists make every effort to give you an appointment within a day or two of when you call.

Our surgeons have the expertise to perform laparoscopic or minimally invasive surgery. For our patients, that means smaller incisions, less pain and the ability to return to normal activities sooner.

When you need surgery, we’ll discuss your options, answer your questions and help alleviate your anxiety.

We embrace evidence-based practices to provide our patients with the best possible outcomes.

Rome Memorial Hospital has the one of the highest compliance rates in the region with the national Surgical Care Improvement Project. That means quality care for you.

For example, by assuring that our patients get the right medicines at the right time on the day of their surgery, we reduce the risk of complications due to infection or blood clots.
