"We’re
pleased to provide this financial support to these future nurses,"
said Connie Jastremski, M.S., R.N., assistant vice president of nursing
at Rome Memorial Hospital. "The field of nursing provides unlimited
opportunity for people looking for a career where they can make a
difference."
"Because
the population is aging, including our current workforce, there is
increased demand for healthcare professionals, especially registered
nurses, x-ray technologists, and respiratory therapists," she said.
"That demand is not expected to diminish in the near future. People
who choose healthcare for a career will find well-paying jobs in a field
that is both challenging and rewarding."
