Visiting Hours and Policies
Individual departments and floors each have specific visiting hours and policies.
- Two visitors are allowed at one time in most areas. Additional visitors may wait their turn in the nearby visitor lounge.
- Except for those units that allow 24-hour visitation, overnight stays in patient rooms are not permitted.
- Visitors must follow the instructions of patient care staff at all times, especially for patients who are being isolated due to contagious disease.
- Visitors must be prepared to show identification upon request of staff.
- Staff may ask any or all visitors to leave at any time where patient privacy, security, or safety are an issue.
- Visitors must be 12 years of age or older in most units.
- When an exception is made to allow younger children to visit, the child must be under the direct supervision of an adult at all times.
- Children are not allowed in any isolation room at any time.
- Please refrain from eating in the patient’s presence.
- Interpreters may be present whenever needed.
Rest is essential for the recovery process. Please be considerate of the patient and his/her roommate during your visit.
If you are ill or running a fever, please do not visit our patients or residents for their safety.
