There are many ways to support the Foundation’s programs financially, including monetary gifts, annuities, life insurance policies and bequests included in wills.  The Foundation also hosts two annual events as fund-raisers – a summer golf tournament and a black-tie optional ball in the fall.

Rome Memorial Hospital Foundation provides three separate funds to receive donations depending on the donor’s wishes:

o     Unrestricted Fund:  Donations which are used in according to priority needs of Rome Memorial Hospital.

o     Restricted Fund:  Donations which are given for a specific purpose according to the wishes of the donor, such as the purchase of a specific piece of equipment or for use in a specific area of the hospital.

o     Endowment Fund:  Donations which are invested with the goal of the use of the interest or dividend income only with the principle gift remaining intact.  Through the years, interest on the growing principle will provide a forever increasing stream of income to the Foundation.

Gifts may consist of cash, securities, personal property or real estate.  There are even ways you can give something to us – real estate, for instance – yet retain the right to use it.
